Government Coup in Lingama, several former European army officers have been taken prisoner

Hortensia, Lingama: The East-African country Lingama has been struggling with civil war for several years. However, the international community was encouraged by a fragile peace under the victor Winston Orgusa.
The fragile peace was shattered on the 2nd of July (2006) as insurgents targeted the President's residence, the main television station and the headquarters of the National Guard.
The army successfully repulsed the insurgents and the President reports that some 150 insurgents have taken taken prisoner among them 9 ex-British and ex-Belgian Army officers all of whom have a record of oranizing mercenary forces in Africa.
The most high-profile prisoner seem to be Major Julian Carruthers, a well known figure in the murky mercenary world.
A spokesperson also states the insurgents crossed the border from neighbouring Abasaula during the night disguised as villagers on way to market in a convoy of trucks.
