THE PROTECTOR: DISCORDIAN MAN MISSING [5:54]
Isaac Mopo, famous novelist of Discordia, has brought the disappearance of a local to the attention of NGOs, The Protector, and even Cromwell.
Jethro Minyura wasa "peacefu, hardworking individual with no interest in politics," according to Mopo, whose only 'crime' was when he "protested about the environmental devastation caused to the river on which his village stands, and the severe economic hardships suffered by its inhabitants when toxic chemicals leaked from one of Cromwell Oil's work locations."
His protests were reasonable and peaceful, but despite this, he was taken into custody by the Discordian police. The authorities claim that he was released without harm on June 15, 2006, but no trace of him has been seen by friends or family.
Many in the international human rights community are now concerned.
Mopo believes Minyura is still in custody, and that if Cromwell puts pressure on the government, they will likely release him.
Cromwell is currently unavailable for comment due to other concerns, but we have likelihood to believe that they will respond to this letter as soon as they are able. Whether they do or do not, we will provide an update.
Breaking news on Mopo himself will be released ASAP.
