Discordia is currently ruled under a shared peace agreement between the NW Alliance: this alliance represents the Alwi and Emmer people whereas the Gangor Delta Axis represents the Kaba and Rennco people. The Gangor Delta Axis is currently in control of the military. It is possible that the Gangor Delta Axis want to secure built up its military control through an arms and oil deal with Nosferadu and the greater Shavia Industries.
With the upcoming elections it is still unclear which party will win. However, the NW Alliance is working closely with the CDUL; which represents a number of community leaders. While the CDUL remains a non-political organization that denies support of any government party, officials within the NW Alliance confirms that they are working closely with the CDUL - possibly to ensure that the needs of the people are met.
The NW Alliance appears to be in support of Cromwell developing Block 77 probably because if Cromwell wins the development it will undermine the militaries ties to Shavia Industries and any future military build-ups that could reinvigorate the civil war.
