The Mentor - Instability Driving Away Funding

The current instability in Discordia is threatening to drive away investment that would alleviate the burden on the tiny nation and possibly help propel them forward. The World Bank and the IFC were ready to fund up to 51% of the development costs of Block 77 however the two institutions have backed off this offer until the situation settles in Discordia.

There are fears, expressed by those two instituions, that the government in its curent capacity, the instability, and all the current roadblocks to developin Block 77 would prevent any true economic growth in Discordia.

However these should not be viewed as the only sources of developmental funding that may be open to the region. There are reports that the governments of Great Britain and the United States are in preliminary talks with Shared Heritage to fund developmental opportunities in Discrodia. These could range from economic to environmental to medical development. Shared Hertiage is in talks with the stakeholders on the ground to assess the situation.
