THE PROTECTOR: VERDANT, OTHER NGOS TO MEET WITH CROMWELL [7:10]
Earlier this evening, Verdant issued a dare to Cromwell: to meet the next day and give answers about the transparency of the operation.
One of Verdant's new concerns is the ramifications of the 2005 waste pit overflow, which caused waste to flow into the Gangor river and pollute the drinking and irrigation water of local villagers.
Cromwell paid damages to the villagers, but the villagers believe those damages are inadequate. Verdant is glad that the damages have been paid, but seem to agree with their inadequacy and have further transparency demands on top of that.
Verdant says that Cromwell has in fact agreed to meet tomorrow morning at 9AM, along with other NGOs. Details will be posted. As is probably well known, Verdant was exiled until recently, so a concession by Cromwell to meet means that the group is already regaining its strength.
