A high ranking Nosferatu official has confirmed that the company submitted a proposal for a relationship with the Discordian government for future oil extraction ventures. The deal includes the following provisions:
(1) Nosferatu would pay $1.5 billion dollars for the rights to extract oil in Block 77. Nosferatu is quoted saying, "We think it's a ludicrous amount of money, but we're ludicrous people."
(2) Nosferatu has guaranteed to make their best effort to achieve political stability.
(3) Nosferatu has pledged that their investment in the country will be evenly distributed across all regions. This includes infrastructure development.
(4) The company is offering a combination of infrastructure, investment, agricultural investment, cash and free loans to the government. These funds will go toward the construction of ports, electric grids, wells, pipelines, roads, fertilizer programs, the cocoa weevil project, etc.
(5) The company will work to promote peace and economic growth and equality. To do so, both rival factions in the government will be involved in decisions. Nosferatu has stated, "This is an unprecedented investment proposal for a country in the region. We are very deeply committed to the growth of the country."
The government has not yet replied to this offer. Nosferatu, meanwhile, has explained that it is "too early in the process" to release information regarding environmental principles or involvement of villagers/NGOs. The Patriot stands by its prior call for the immediate release of this information, as it is essential for the safeguarding of Discordian interests. These principles are first steps in a long process; the people of Discordia await more information on the nation's environmental and human rights principles.
